Electrics are not the place to save money.
Almost every property on this coast has an electrical installation younger than the building and older than the way we live: boards from before residual current devices existed, one circuit doing the work of three, and a supply sized for a fridge and a couple of lamps. It works until the day it doesn't.
Anybody can pull a cable. Only a registered low-voltage installer can sign the certificate that makes the installation legal — and that signature is what an insurer, a buyer or a distributor will actually ask for. We are registered, so what we install we can also certify.
The certificate is signed by the people who did the work.
A lot of jobs on the coast get done by one person and 'certified' by another who never saw the property. That's how you end up with a signature on a document that doesn't describe your installation. Here it's the same firm, and the same name.

BEFORE WE STARTWhat is a boletín and when do I need one?
The boletín (CIE) is the certificate a registered installer signs to say the installation meets the regulations. You'll be asked for it to contract or restore a supply, to raise the contracted power, after a rewire, and often when a property is sold or let. We can only issue it if the installation genuinely complies — if it doesn't, we tell you what's missing before you commit to anything.
My consumer unit is ancient. Is that dangerous?
Boards with ceramic fuses or without a residual current device are common in older properties here and they are the main cause of avoidable incidents. Replacing the board is a short job, usually a single day, and it's the cheapest thing you'll ever do for the safety of the house.
The trips keep going. Can you find out why?
Yes. Nuisance tripping is almost always a fault to earth in a specific circuit or an appliance, or a supply that's undersized for how the house is used now. We isolate it circuit by circuit and tell you what it is before doing any work — not 'we'll change everything and see'.
Can you increase my contracted power?
We tell you whether it's genuinely needed, what the installation requires to support it and we handle the certificate and the paperwork with the distributor. Sometimes the honest answer is that you don't need more power, you need the load spread properly — and we'll say so.
Do you fit EV charging points?
Yes, in houses and in community car parks, with the dedicated circuit and protection the regulations require and its certificate. In a community we prepare the notification the administrator needs.
Do you do small jobs or only whole installations?
Both. A socket that stopped working, a light fitting, a fault. We give you the same written quote and the same guarantee — the difference is only the size.
